Road Life.

It's just simply not about the miles driven and the places visited. So many people spend their lives being shaped by the certainty of what they've seen or experienced.

In this album, I try to come to terms with the uncertainty of the the road ahead. No matter how far you've gone or the number of places visited, if you don't feel the need to go home, perhaps into the arms of a loved one, then perhaps you hadn't traveled far enough yet.

This album is about my journey back. It mulls over the questions of what we need versus what we want. It comes to terms with the fact that no matter how much we settle down, it is still the road we've chosen to be on. Road Life never ends.

Throw The Stone

Throw the stone and don’t look back
Don’t expect to see the ripples grow till you come back

Face the road, don’t turn around
Keep going forward till your name's etched in the ground

Throw the stone, you're not alone
In this glass house...

And for those who float,
go rock their boat,
And get them out...
And then get out!

Come see tomorrow without sorrow
Just let it out...

We’ll drive it forward and and push it onward
That’s what its all about...

The chase is on for equality
You can stomp, you can burn, you can fight
but you can't break me

On and on till the fire's out
We will fight for the weak and the future
till there is no doubt

Throw the stone, the first one out
In this glass house...

And for those who know,
lets rock this boat
And scream and shout
And scream and shout!

Road Life

So you don’t know what the life on the roads supposed to be
And you'll go grow old driving miles for a chance to see

Cause up on this stretch
I've got time to realize the rest
The motorcoach fed
and for miles she will drive ahead

So you don’t show what these eyes on the road have seen
And you’ll go grow bold, with every mile every chance to breathe

Cause up in these hills
I’ve gotta prep for the strength I need
The motorcoach filled
Every day and every night it her and me

Cause I’m driving through your town and I’m sorry I can’t stay
I know its great but then I must be going on my way
If I don’t stay on the road I feel I’ve lived but just one day
So take this song as a thank you all to the people in my heartland

Cause up on this stretch
I've got time to realize the rest
The motorcoach fed
and for miles she will drive ahead

Cause I’m driving through your town and I’m sorry I coudnt stay
I know its great but then I must be goining on my way
If I don’t stay on the road I feel I’ve lived but one day
So take this song as a thank you all to the people in my heartland

House of Cards

Running on till dusk
Driving on we must
Running on my last fumes cause
I finally can say I can

My coach is impervious
To the transitory chaos
of people strung together by
the landscapes that they made

Oh the landscapes people made
but soon now you will turn
onto roads that angels paved
and you'll have gas to burn

and you'll see light of day in the middle of the night
cause you've got gas to burn
just drive on as they sleep tight

Follow in these steps and listen to the hearts
cause they've been guiding all of us just as those that roamed these parts
We weren't listening to all that mother sings
My soul is being told to slow by her words on my windows

It's all right to change your tune
to a different room in a house of cards

It's all right to change your face to a different place
that has no bars

Do anything you want to...

Dragging

I told you I am flawed
I told you I am great
I know that  all the things I love
Were all the things you hate

Depending on my mood
My bed is in a box
And I can't get up well
and break through all these f#ck!ng locks

Because this time
you're not gonna make it far
Yeah this time you're not lifting me up
just to knock me down

Its a sign, its a sign for you to stop dragging me down

I know that you are perfect
I'll mount you on my wall
I know that all the things you said
were leading to my fall
But in the end it's perfect
you can go to hell and back
while you see me driving away from you
with satisfaction on my face

Because this time
you're not gonna make it far
Yeah this time you're not lifting me up
just to knock me down

Higher Ground

Look back a ways
And tell me if you see your shadows now
Take back the days
Remember how it all looked then and how
You used to play
Just running till your energy ran out
you used to say
that someday you’ll change the world somehow

Change the world somehow
Just one thing I’ve got to figure out

Sometime I see over the bend
Sometime I climb up to higher ground and look around
Sometimes I fear the upper end
Sometimes the dogs chase me off their ground
But Im still around

Birds up on a bridge  all along the span
And when you try to cross they’ll fly off again
Leading me astray from what I must do today
Walk into the shallow’s den just to lead the way

Good People

On a rainy day tomorrow
You will come to me and say
That you’re so filled with them sorrows
Can we be friends anyway?

But you know how you were acting
Like an animal indeed
Cause you trampled these good people
On your way to get some feed

But in a world, where you are right
Not from truth
But from what you drive

In a world, where you are strong
Not from truth
And not for long
We will rise

Good people rise into your song
Know that you belong
Keep on fighting on
Just know it’s not long

But in a world where you see bright
The shadows cast on them all night

In a world where you roam free
you belong to them this you need to see

Find the Time

It's Time.
The road is calling.
Time
The road is calling

If you can find the time,
you can find the road.
If you can find the road,
You can find your soul.

Make It Home

40 miles and I’m on my way
40 miles and I’m here to stay

See these eyes?
the’ve seen the road...
Speak your mind for we don’t know
What’s more than us is yet to show
Hold me tight we’ve yet to grow

See sights, we might realize, the meaning to it all
We’ll leave right at midnight to get there by dawn
To finally make it home

Street lights, and rain drops falling on the floor
This time  it’s my time
to walk on through that door
To finally make it home

After Years

I'm mesmerized each time I look at you
i just stare
And every time I close eyes and start to dream
your are there

And I know what might make a change this time
Well, I just know we're all right
And I don;'t care what words said couldn't bind
its between you and me, between you and me

After years. so we met
and we stood there with our tears
After years of drying tears
we can make it to our dreams

After years, so we met
And we stood there with our tears
After years of drying tears
we can make it to our dream

Can make it
Can make it

After years so we met
and we stood there with our tears
after years of drying tears
we can make it to our dreams
