On the Quai

On The Quai
by MIZMAN

And it started off with a single word - goodbye.
Just seemed so foolish, I spoke my mind,
you overheard
said "you're right"

Well I left all, my heart was home,
but my mind spoke wild dreams
on the phone with you
and after all I'm coming back

So did you want me to stay?
Oh, what can I do to be back with you?

And on the Quai I watched to recognize your smile
A beating heart left torn apart by the time
that had brough us this far,
so why am I shaking inside?

So did I misunderstand?
A part of me - not just a friend - but a heart and a soul
Did I misunderstand?
A part of me - not just a friend - but a heart and a soul

So did I misunderstand?
A part of me - not just a friend - but a heart and a soul
Did I misunderstand?
A
part of me - not just a friend - but a heart and a soul

THE LOVE

Rating: 10
The intro to this song is quite quirky. I like how it sounds like a siren then goes to normal basic music. The musical introduction was far too long, I thought it might have just been music at first. The lyrics are well sung and the lyrics are heart warming.

Rating: 10
romantic, one word for this, it just helps me deepen my thoughts towards a girl and I can't stop listening to this song, if this guy made other songs I would listen to them, the way it was sung was just speechless, the feelings that come towards you with this song or track makes you feel alive.

Rating: 10
i love the train in the begining it makes you feel like your actually there. you might need some more train sounds. and maybe sing right away instead of 5 seconds into the song :) and please keep it up to country.i like when he says what can i do to get back with you. keep singing

Rating: 10
I love the first part to the song because of the soothing music. I love the music because it isn't that loud, and it's very relaxing. I love that the man is singing because of the soothing voice and the beautiful lyrics. I love the man when he sings because it is not loud. And also I love his lyrics because it is very well written and it is not that loud.

Rating: 10
I love the train in the introduction. Sounds like a good start. The piano is very good, I love it. The guitar as well, it is very good too. I love how they go hand and hand. There is so much flow. This sounds like country, I love it. I am not sure but the instrumental and vocals are very great together.

Rating: 10
I love the train in the beginning. Nice touch on the track. It made me feel like I was really in front of a train station. Great inspiration to create my own music. The deepest sympathy for his deep voice. It's soft and very flowing. I love this track overall. I give this song a huge thumbs up. Thank you, Fantastic job guys.

Rating: 10
The train sound beat was amazing in the beginning. It compliments the lyrics very well. I wished the artist didn't take so long to start singing. His voice is has more than enough potential. Who ever wrote this song took there time and used their feeling to touch an audience. I give this song and the artist a 10. I loved the way the artist sings overall. I would buy any of his music just because he has a beautiful voice. I believe that he can make any song sound as good as this one.

Rating: 10
The train sound in this song is very creative. I have not heard that type of introduction. The music comes in perfectly like expert players. The drums play a nice medium beat that is not too loud. The singer has a voice that young adults to middle aged adults would love to hear. This song sounds more of a soft rock song. The vocalist voice sounds very attractive. He will grab a lot of people's attention.

Rating: 9
The train effect at the start was different, caught my attention and peeked my interest. I liked how it transitioned into a very relaxing melody. At first I thought it was a soundtrack to a game before the vocals started. Fantastic build up. Audible, easy listening vocals. A voice you could listen to over the length of an album. Good storytelling, I can hear emotion in the voice and placement of instruments. I want to listen to it again and more like it. Suited to more mature people that enjoy this music over pop, would play nicely live in a small intimate venue.

Rating: 9
The train was an odd way to start the song but it works with all of the other sounds. The composition is brilliant and I love the song's over all mood and feeling. This song reminded me of something I would have heard on 80s KROQ in California. I liked all aspects of this song and thought it worked all the way to the very last vocal. Great lyrics sung well.

Unless there was some deeper meaning to it, the beginning train sound effects didn't seem necessary and kind of threw me off in the beginning. However, the rest of the song seemed very well done, especially instrumentally. The drums really set up the rhythm for the rest of the instruments, and they really compliment the singer well. I enjoyed the melody as well. The song sounds nicely constructed and performed well.

Rating: 9
The train sounds at the beginning are very unique. I love that transition from the train to the beat of the song. The lyrics are also very good. However, not that big of a fan of the vocals. Other than that, this is a very good song. The genre of this song is probably country. Overall, this is a really good tune. I enjoy it very much. Kudos to the artist.

Love the addition of the outside sound of the train coming, very unique. The beat was very creative it sounded nice. Introduction was a bit long but that is okay. Nice tempo. Artist sounds nice. Like the lyrics, understood them. Did not like the echos in the background.

This song kind of reminds me of the songs in the 70's. With the intro having the horn of a train. But then unfortunately it turned to country. I'm not a fan of country, but the vocals are there, along with the lyrics. If you like country, you will probably like this song quite a bit. Personally I won't be listening to it in the future, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It's nice and smooth, nice rhythm, and it all sounds well put together. Definitely a good song for a country fan. Not so much for someone with the same taste as me.

I kind of enjoy the introduction you have to this song. It kind of reminds me of a Christmas song only because it sounds like it would be from a Christmas movie because it's slower. The vocals sound very shallow to me and could use more energy. I think that the instruments that you chose really complemented the singers voice. It really matches that shallow pitch I mentioned before. The melody itself goes really smoothly and hits the ear just great. I could actually imagine this song being played on the radio or TV, etc. because that's the quality that I feel like I'm getting out of this song. As the song goes on, you kind of get to know the lyrics and get what they mean. The recommendations from me to you would be a little bit more variation in your voice. It was overall nice to listen to and I would give it a rating of 8/10.

The seemingly car sounds at the beginning didn't seem right with the rest of the intro. The instrumental seemed to be practiced and good. Vocals were very clear. The lyrics were too slowly said, it didn't really mix well. The meaning of the lyrics isn't too clear, but you can semi-understand it. Not my kind of music. It just seems way too slow in general.

Intro very new to my ears. The piano is very taking and moving making me want to dance slow and easy to dance to. The layout with the first drop really could have a a stronger start to earners. The voice is easy to understand and like not to hard. It makes me feel nice and relaxed i would like to say this song is very good 8

I liked the sound of the train in the beginning of the song. It was really cool! Then I felt like I heard some sort of rainforest sounds like a waterfall and that was really cool. Then when the piano entered it sounded so much cooler and the notes were really cool. There was some sort of special harmony as well that I loved.

Rating: 8
It's a slow-paced song that took a little time to get into the lyrics. Another great story-telling track here similar to the artist's other song that I listened to. The singer is great at making his lyrics mean more than just catchy lyrics that rhyme. He creates lyrics that invite us into his world, and he takes us on a journey that feels like him healing while also growing and learning from the past. I love songs that are more than just music. This one is a mini movie. And I like these.

The train noises at the beginning made me question whether this song would be made up of white noise but the piano started and it had a relaxing feel. I like the tempo because it was slow enough to relax to the song, but fast enough where it was not lagging in speed. The intro was a bit long but the singer had a good enough voice, so it was worth the wait.

THE HATE

Rating: 1
this song sounds very interesting and has nice drums but it really boring. terrible tempo and the beat is terrible the singer is really bad too. he sounds like a dumb girl. wouldn't listen to this kind of music because it sound like country music and i hate country music

Rating: 1
I do not like this song. I feel as if the intro is too long. I am not a big fan of the vocals. The lyrics are hard to understand. I would not want to listen to this song any more than possible. It is a little depressing. Overall, I feel like this song needs a lot of work.

Rating: 1
This song sounds like a train is coming in at the beginning of the track, which sounds ugly and terrible. The music has no direction. The horns sound like a cheap karaoke track that makes no sense. The singing also sounds like bad karaoke. I think the music should all be eliminated completely. This song is poor.

Rating: 1
This song starts out with a train. The noise effects of this song have a decrescendo at the beginning. A guy is singing about a girl he wants to get back with. I am guessing he went through a bad break up and feels guilty about something. I don't like this song because it is highly repetitive.

Rating: 1
This song is starting out with train noises and i don't have faith in it because of the really poor budgeting don. the beat is okay and is odd because it has ocean noises in the background. the lyrics are not to bad but again the echo is so bad and would be better off without it one hundred percent.

Where to start... first off, there's too many random and unnecessary sound effects added in the intro. I cannot imagine anyone listening to this anywhere honestly. The vocals has a really off delay/echo added to it, and I just find the vocals very disturbing in general. The producer needs to learn when and where effects are appropriate on the vocals.

Rating: 1
The song reminds me of something you would find on a disc that has the sounds of nature. The intro takes way to long to lead to the vocals, it made me think that this was just a song with music and no lyrics. It is very boring and that sucks because it has the potential to be a really good song.

Rating: 1
In the beginning the sound of the train really wakes me up and then there comes a slow tune which is nice and makes me feel comfortable. i would like to hear less songs like these because they are very slow and the tune doesn't suite me and the guy singing make me laugh and i want to tell everyone.

I really did not enjoy this song. The opening instrumental train sound roaring in my ear, Is not a pleasurable feeling while listening to music. I want my music to make me feel warm, like a warm home on a snowy winter day. Not roaring in my ear like a alarm clock waking me up. So in all this is not a song for me. The vocals on the song took to long to come in after the opening instrumentals.
